Day 7- Post Cleanse

Congratulations!
The strength of your intentions have carried you through the week. This is an important time to take note of how you feel. One’s experience in the body tends to be very clear after a week of cleansing. It’s such a great opportunity to learn about yourself. When we are even the slightest bit out of balance, we will crave things to perpetuate the imbalance. When we are in balance, we will crave things to promote balance. This is a time to take stock of which practices resonated for you, and how you would like to weave them into your lives moving forward. If you are still feeling a bit out of sorts, this can be due to the act of cleansing itself. Cleansing is quite langhana, or light, so now is a time to rebuild or restore. Abyangha continues to be a deeply restorative practice as well as the consumption of moist, warm foods. Seek nourishment from natural, whole foods. Keep the beneficial foods going for nourishment. You may still crave Kitchari… Eat it! You may crave coconut soup, avocados, nuts, fruit and eggs… Eat them! Enjoy these things with every ounce of your being as you bring more variety into the diet.

The Agni, digestive fire, will be in a weakened state after cleansing. The agni’s effort has gone towards detoxification. which is one reason why we have been eating easily digestible foods. Take your time reintegrating foods so that the agni does not become overwhelmed or depleted. It’s best not to eat too much in one sitting, too heavy in one meal, and of course without processed foods. Eats wheat and whole grains, steamed veggies, and healthy oils. Eat small legumes, incorporate bone broths when you’re ready. Eat fruit, but it eat alone. Sip warm beverages.

If you have any questions on how to proceed right now, please post. It is not uncommon to feel intimidated or confused about change. It’s been such a pleasure moving through this experience with all of you. Much peace and love!
