Welcome To The Spring Cleanse

I’m so honored to welcome you to our Spring Cleanse. Whether you are brand new to Ayurveda or have been studying for years, this moment marks a profound step in your healing journey. You are saying yes to a deeper connection with yourself, your body, and the rhythms of nature.

What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the ancient science of life. Born thousands of years ago in India, it teaches that health is not simply the absence of disease, but a vibrant state of balance between body, mind, spirit, and environment. Ayurveda helps us remember that true healing is holistic and that we are deeply woven into the world around us.

Why Do We Cleanse?
In Ayurveda, seasonal cleansing is considered essential for maintaining health. Spring, a season of renewal, is the perfect time to clear out the heaviness of winter — physically, mentally, and emotionally. During a cleanse, we remove built-up ama (toxins) and reawaken our inner fire, known as agni (digestive strength). This allows us to move into the new season with clarity, energy, and lightness.

Cleansing is not just about the body; it’s a reset for our entire being. It’s an invitation to slow down, listen inwardly, and re-align with nature's wisdom.

The Teachings of Dinacharya and Ritucharya
Two key Ayurvedic principles that guide our cleanse are Dinacharya (daily routine) and Ritucharya (seasonal routine).

  • Dinacharya teaches that stability and rhythm in our daily habits nourish our nervous system and bring inner peace. Simple practices like waking with the sun, oil pulling, and mindful eating weave profound stability into our lives.

  • Ritucharya reminds us that just as nature changes with the seasons, so must we. Our foods, activities, and lifestyle should shift in harmony with the earth's cycles. Spring calls for lighter, cleansing foods, energizing movement, and rituals that help us release what is no longer needed.

By living in tune with daily and seasonal rhythms, we create a strong foundation for lifelong health.

Ayurveda and Yoga: Two Paths, One Goal
Traditionally, Ayurveda and Yoga were never meant to be separate. They are sister sciences — one guiding the health of the body and mind, the other leading the spirit toward liberation. When practiced together, they create a powerful synergy that supports both physical vitality and spiritual awakening.

During this cleanse, you’ll notice that we invite both Ayurvedic practices and gentle yogic movements to support detoxification, balance the mind, and nourish the soul. You are learning to live as the sages did — in harmony with yourself and the universe.

Congratulations
I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to begin this journey. You are stepping into a relationship with yourself that will change you forever. Through this cleanse, you will learn to read the language of your own body, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and awaken a wisdom that has always been within you.

This is a path of remembrance — and you are exactly where you are meant to be.
